School's out for summer!

Well after a massively busy July, I'm looking forward to a bit of a chilled summer. I have a few weddings booked through August but should be able to fit in a couple of camping trips with the family. Fingers crossed for a continuation of this lovely weather...

It's the last day of school for my two tomorrow so of course, had to bake for the teachers. I had planned to make some 'teacher themed' cupcakes for my son's teacher and teaching assistants, then was hit with quite a few orders from other parents on the same wave length!

I think they're all very cute but my favourites are the "thank you" on the notepaper, the personalised mini book and the large red apple. Hopefully there will be some very happy teachers in Ashbourne, and not just because tomorrow is the last day of term!

I also baked a large three layered carrot cake with cream cheese frosting to go into the staff room for the rest of the staff. I topped it with a mini 'blackboard' and apple that I made out of sugar paste.
